Where the vegetables grow

Here at the Conversa Spanish School it’s not all about learning how to speak Spanish. We also get to eat very well. Right on site is an organic garden (La Ensaladera) that provides the cooks with fresh herbs, salad ingredients and vegetables. The food is fresh and delicious.

La Fortuna, Costa Rica

2nd day in La Fortuna, Costa Rica. The Arenal volcano dominates the landscape and the area is the focus of a wide variety of extreme adventure activities. Every other shop is a souvenir shop or a tour operator for any type of adventure junkie. Not my favourite town on the trip, so I decided to walk outside the tour area and see what I could photograph. Here are some images of the church and the volcano.

The Church is in the centre of the town … the Parish of San Bosco which reflects this town’s original name “San Bosco” – the town was renamed after a major eruption from Arsenal Volcan went the other way … unfortunately wiping out La Fortuna.
